Use your church website to help people read Luke

Idea submitted by Steve Young on 28 October 2008

Have reading guides and introductions to Luke, section by section, on your church website. You can then direct people to help in how to read it, linking them back to your church through your website.

Halloween Handout

Idea submitted by Glenn Farrell on 22 October 2008

Halloween is not a ‘festival’ we want to endorse, but it falls on Reformation Day.

So we have some ‘treats’ ready along with a bookmark that explains the gospel through Reformation Day.

Visit new residents

Idea submitted by UWS on 13 October 2008

Visit new residents to your area. Give them a welcome hamper including information about Jesus & your church.

Locality DVDs

Idea submitted by Jeremy Crooks on 14 July 2008

We are producing a local DVD for our suburb.  We will hand deliver them to residents with the gospel of Luke.  This will showcase and interview church members in settings that everyone recognises.

Pre/evangelistic event inserts

Idea submitted by Rob Elder on 12 May 2008

How about Southern Cross producing 3 ‘pre/evangelistic inserts’ a year to be distributed through local cafes, libraries, doctor’s surgeries or handed out at stations etc (similar to the insert they did on teens/youth several months ago)? Obvious times would be Christmas / Summer, Easter & Spring. We’ve done our own version up at uni and lots of people read them.

Community Welcome Packs

Idea submitted by Jeremy Crooks on 17 April 2008

Work with local councils and community groups to develop ‘welcome packs’ that can be delivered to all new residents of your suburb.
