Connect09 logos and style guide
The Connect09 style guide lays down clear guidance for the use of the C09 logo, colour palette etc for INTERNAL use. That is, posters, flyers, service sheets, prayer guides and all things aimed at informing and enthusing Christians as we pray and prepare for 2009.
The Connect09 team is at work on the look and feel of the EXTERNAL campaign. It will involve tag lines, slogans and messages that will help us all engage with the wider community in a helpful way. Some elements, like the puzzle logo and the word CONNECT, will provide continuity and consistency to both external and internal branding - though they may not necessarily feature as prominently in the external campaign.
Remember, we have a whole year next year in which to "go public". Now is the time to pray and start getting ready; but it is not the time to start promoting Connect09 in the community. We need to "keep our powder dry"! Why?
Two key reasons:
1. Locally, your Connect09 campaign will need to be planned with peak times and activities during the year. 12 months is a long time to maintain effort internally and interest externally without careful thought. Going public with you Connect09 campaign now would make it very hard to maintain momentum and interest in the community until the end of 2009.
2. Diocese wide, the benefit comes from doing this together. We will be working hard to raise awareness and profile as we all roll out the campaign during 2009. Your locally publicity will both enhance, and be enhanced by, the region wide push at that time. Being out of synch won't help you or others.
When the comes, we will make available everything you need by way of external branding. The key task at hand is to get all our churches and people praying, researching, strategising, training and preparing. And we hope that the internal logos and accompanying style guide will help your church in this.
A logo and positioning statement is often an organization’s single most visible identifier, stimulating interest and creating awareness. A great logo is the visual expression of what an organization believes, reduced to its simplest form. It is the essence of what the organization stands for.
The way we present ourselves visually in corporate communications, letterheads, business cards, signage and marketing and advertising, contributes to building a unique
identity for Connect09.
By understanding the elements of the Connect09 brand identity contained in these guidelines and applying them consistently, we will all be contributing to building a stronger recognition and recall of Connect09.
While our people, our actions and our results will shape perceptions and give personality to Connect 09, our unity of purpose will be visually enhanced, by careful maintenance and consistent use of the corporate guideline.
We all share in the responsibility for implementing these standards. Consistency in following the guidelines is important in building a unified corporate approach to Connect09.
Below is everything you need to use the Connect09 branding in a way consistent with the rest of this evangelistic initiative.
